Ukrainian military have destroyed two BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers that pro-Russian gunmen used to attcke the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces and residential areas of Ilovaisk in Donetsk region, the press service of the Ukrainian National Guard has reported.
According to the report, servicemen of the Donbas battalion of the
Ukrainian National Guard, Ukrainian Armed Forces units and the Dnipro,
Shakhtarsk and Azov volunteer battalions of the Interior Ministry
continue to disarm illegal armed groups in districts of Ilovaisk. Fierce
battles are continuing.
Earlier on Aug.20 , the National Guard’s press service reported
that soldiers of the Donbas battalion, Armed Forces servicemen and
Dnipro and Shakhtarsk territorial defense battalions had taken control
of Ilovaisk, but “counter-attacks by terrorists are continuing.”
