Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has told Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on the phone he intends to suggest the sending of a police mission to the Malaysian Airlines Boeing crash scene.

“Mark Rutte said he was set to propose together with Australia and
other countries, whose citizens were on flight MH17, to deploy a
civilian police mission under the UN aegis in Ukraine for the security
of the crash scene and its vicinity and the assistance in the
independent international inquiry into the crash causes,” the Ukrainian
president’s press service said.

The sides also agreed to pool efforts for the economic recovery of the Ukrainian regions affected by the hostilities.

“Prime Minister M. Rutte assured [Poroshenko] the Netherlands was
ready to be an active participant in the donor and investor conference
on Ukraine due to take place in Kyiv in fall,” the report said.
