The first deputy prime minister and minister for European integration will be responsible for implementing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in a future government, according to a draft coalition agreement published on the Web site of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko on Oct. 29 morning.

“Coordination of the implementation of the Association Agreement in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is assigned to the first deputy prime minister – minister for European integration, who is given powers to coordinate the activities of ministries and other central executive government agencies regarding the implementation of the Association Agreement,” reads the document.

The participants of the parliamentary coalition will primarily support the bills submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers and aimed at implementing the Association Agreement with the EU.

In addition, “the coalition, in conjunction with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, will implement the priority provisions of the Association Agreement with the EU in a shorter time, in particular, implement by 2016 major changes in the field of technical regulations and food safety envisaged by the Association Agreement with the EU.”
