Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) did not find cash during searches conducted on Oct. 14 at cabinets of the director general of the State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) and his deputies.

Head of the law department of Ukrzaliznytsia Oleh Tytov said at a press conference on Oct. 22 in Kyiv that no documents proving infringements were found.

Checks of Ukrzaliznytsia conducted by the State Financial Inspectorate and the commission of the Infrastructure Ministry have been prolonged until Oct. 29 and Nov. 7 respectively.

“Today, there are no any conclusions of experts on infringements,” he said.

Tytov also said that the situation at Ukrzaliznytsia is tightly linked to the process of its reformation, as there are many persons who are interested in not losing their opportunities to earn large money.

He said that Ukrzaliznytsia gathered all agreements and sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office for check and applied to the Interior Ministry and SBU.

Ukrzaliznytsia also sent requests to the Interior Ministry and SBU to learn if criminal cases against members of tender commissions of the administration were opened, although as of Oct. 15 no case was opened.

Tytov also added that Ukrzaliznytsia has the internal audit department which monitors and studies all purchases.
