You're reading: No date set for artillery removal yet – Ukrainian Army General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff has said that Ukraine's position over the removal of heavy weaponry from the line of contact between the combatants in Donbas is invariable: this process will only begin after a total ceasefire.

“As soon as the first provision – full ceasefire – is met, we will immediately proceed to heavy weaponry removal. So far no one is talking about a specific timeframe,” a spokesman for the General Staff, Vladyslav Selezniov, told Interfax-Ukraine on Dec. 25.
