There are no Ukrainian citizens among the 12 dead in a flood in Tbilisi, Georgia, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Georgia’s capital city Tbilisi, a home to 1.1 million people, suffered from a heavy flood on the night of June 13, as a rainfall caused river Vere to overflood.
As of 3 p.m. local time, 12 people were dead, and 10 went missing.
Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin offered his condolences to the people of Georgia.
The flood damaged the enclosures in a local zoo, setting free some 30 animals, most of them dangerous predators. Several lions, tigers, wolves, bears, a crocodile and a hippo went loose on the city streets.
