MOSCOW - The foreign ministers of the Normandy Quartet (Ukraine, Russia, France, Germany) brokering a settlement of the crisis in Donbas may meet next week, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

“The possibility of holding a meeting in the Normandy format at the level of foreign ministers is being discussed and explored now. The matter concerns next week,” Zakharova said at a news briefing in Moscow on Oct. 29.

After the parties agree upon the exact date and venue of the meeting, this will be announced officially, she said.

The parties are continuing to look for solutions to practical issues involved in settling the crisis in Ukraine, including with the agreements reached at the Normandy Quartet summit in Paris on Oct. 2 being taken into consideration.
