Norway will almost quadruple its financial support for reforms in Ukraine, to $30 million, Foreign Minister of Norway Borge Brende has said.

“I was pleased to report to inform the minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine that the Norwegian government unanimously approved a program to increase its aid to Ukraine by four times,” he said at a briefing after talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Kyiv.

Asked about the amount of aid to be issued, Brende put the figure at $30 million.

“We are joining the efforts of the EU, and we hope that our cooperation will be fruitful,” the official said.
