You're reading: Number of people refusing to get ID code grows in 2012

The number of citizens that refused to register to recieve tax numbers in view of their religious beliefs has reached 13,400, which is 36% more than in 2011.

According to the press service of the State Tax Service, 8,600 people used their right to refuse to take a tax serial number in 2011.

The registration of such individual taxpayers is conducted under a special register of the State register.

“For this purpose they have to address to the tax services. Specialists of the tax service make a corresponding mark in the passport of such taxpayer. After this, they can make any payments using the series and number of their passport,” the text reads.
