The mayor's offices of Odesa and Lviv will together lobby for the launch of a flight connecting Odesa and Lviv.

This decision was made by mayors of two cities Hennadiy Trukhanov and Andriy Sadovy during their meeting in Odesa, according to Information and Public Relations Department of Odesa city council.

“The two cities must come together in a cultural, historical and economic sense in the near future. The first serious step in this direction might be an Odesa-Lviv flight,” city council said.

The two mayors discussed cooperation issues in transport, housing and public utilities, and in the business, culture and tourism sectors.

“Our cities are special. They are culture capitals of our country and tourist cities. One must think of the economy as well. Odesa is a sea gate of Ukraine, and Lviv is the western gate of the country. It’s very important that we communicate with each other,” Sadovy said.
