ODESA - Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and leader of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) group in Odesa Vaidotas Verba have agreed on cooperation in economic and political security.
“Today we’ve hammered out an action plan for the OSCE SMM and the municipal authorities. Representatives of the mission have great diplomatic records, international experience, capabilities of assessing the situation and collect successful stories from many cities of Ukraine. All these let the OSCE’s representatives propose reasonable measures to ensure political and economic security in Odesa,” Odesa City Council’s information and PR department quotes Trukhanov as saying.
Verba in turn said that Odesa City Council takes all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of Odesa residents and stabilize the political situation in the city.
The OSCE SMM has already spent about four months in Odesa to monitor the situation in the city and the region.
