The Ukrainian security services have found in the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) an officer who passed secret information on the holding of the operation in the Donbas to Russian special services, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Mykhailo Koval has said.

“The ‘officer’ leaked secret information about the course of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas to the intelligence agencies of the Russian Federation,” he said on the 1+1 television channel on Sunday evening, July 27.

Koval noted that when he served as defense minister, “similar cases of finding traitors, including at high-level positions, were also recorded at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.” However, he said that there had been no traitors in the State Border Service, where he had worked before taking up the post of defense minister.
