One Ukrainian national was killed and eight were injured in a road accident in Lodz Voivodeship in Poland.

The press service of the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine reported,
referring to the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, that all of the
passengers injured in the accident were hospitalized.

According to the ministry, a consul from the Ukrainian embassy
visited the scene of the accident to get more information about the
crash and provide the victims with necessary consular assistance.

The case is under special monitoring by the Embassy of Ukraine to
Poland and the Consular Service Department of the Ukrainian Foreign
Ministry, reads the statement.

As reported, on July 30, 2012 a train crashed into a minibus on an
open railroad crossing near Bratoszewice in Lodz Voivodeship. Ten
Ukrainians, most of whom were residents of Ternopil region, were in the
minibus. Nine passengers were killed in the accident.
