Only 2 percent of Ukrainians believe Ukraine's relations with the Russian Federation are friendly, 42.4% say they are hostile, and 40% – disputed.

According to the poll conducted by Razumkov Center together with charitable foundation ‘Maidan of Foreign Affairs’, only 8.9% of respondents treat Russia positively, and 42.7% – negatively.

Besides, 73% of respondents said that there is a danger to Ukraine from Russia, 60.3% see threat in the work of the Russian special security services in Ukraine. What’s more, 69.3% of polled said that Russia makes a systemic information influence on Ukraine, and 75.1% are dissatisfied with efficiency of counteraction to this by the Ukrainian state structures.

Moreover, 48.3% of Ukrainians said that a reason of Russia’s actions in Crimea was a fear of the Russian leadership that Ukraine will quickly enter NATO and the EU. 36.2% of those polled said that in such way Russia wanted to demonstrate its force, 36% said it is a desire of the Russian leadership to extend the territory at the expense of its neighbors.

Besides, 28.2% of the respondents say that Russians want to punish Ukraine for attempting to conduct an independent state policy, and 25.6% think the Kremlin fears the appearance of a ‘Maidan’ phenomenon in Moscow.

The poll conducted from May 31 to June 5, 2014. A total of 2,001 respondents were polled in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea.
