The leader of the BYT-Barkivschyna faction in Kyiv City Council Tetiana Melikhova called on people whom heads of enterprises force to participate in a rally to support the Ukrainian president to come to Euromaidan.

“My advice to workers of municipal services, teachers, kindergartners and doctors is that you have a choice to go or not to go. But if you cannot do a bad turn to your chiefs, come, register [at a rally on the European Square] and come to Euromaidan where you usually come,” she said at a briefing at the press center of the national opposition headquarters on Saturday.

Melikhova said that Kyiv district administrations were obliged to bring to the rally a certain number of people from budget institutions.

She said that according to an order, each municipal enterprise is to ensure the presence of 15 employees at the pro-presidential rally, each educational institution – five or 10 employees.

“Hundreds of people are planned,” she said.
