Lawmakers from the Batkivschyna party faction laid flowers at the Memorial of Glory in the Park of Glory in Kyiv to commemorate Victory Day.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, faction leader
Arseniy Yatseniuk, first deputy head of Batkivschyna Oleksandr
Turchynov, and members of parliament Serhiy Terekhin and Mykola Tomenko led the ceremony.

Other participants included Yuriy Odarchenko, Volodymyr Yavorivsky, Valeriy
Sushkevych, Andriy Pyshny, Andriy Ivanchuk, Oleksandr Bryhynets,
Volodymyr Bondarenko, Tetiana Donets, Vitaliy Yarema, and Liliya Hrynevych.

“Today this is a great celebration on the one hand because this is
the victory of humanity over fascism. On the other hand, this is a great
tragedy as Ukraine is the country that suffered most during World War
II,” Yatseniuk told reporters.
