The net profit of Optima-Pharm Ltd (Kyiv), a joint Ukrainian - Estonian distributor of medical products, in April-June 2015 amounted to Hr 260.882 million, while in the same period last year its net profit totaled Hr 2.435 million.

According to a company report in the information disclosure system of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market, its net sales income in the second quarter increased by 31.3 percent, to Hr 6.253 billion, gross profit decreased by 42.8 percent, to Hr 342.975 million.

As reported, the net profit of Optima-Pharm in January-March 2015 amounted to Hr 109.880 million, while in the first quarter of 2014 the company saw a loss of Hr 17.601 million. Net sales income in the first quarter increased by 22 percent, to Hr 3.290 billion, gross profit increased by 3.5 percent, to Hr 365 million.

Optima-Pharm was founded in late 1994. It is one of the three largest Ukrainian distributors on the pharmaceutical market. In February 2015, the company ranked second in terms of pharmaceutical sales following BaDM (Dnipropetrovsk). In addition, the top five distributors included Venta (Dnipropetrovsk, the third place), Fram Co. (Kyiv, ranked fourth), and PharmPlanet (Kyiv, fifth).
