The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe has enlarged the international contingent of its Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to 322 people.

The 322 monitors work in ten Ukrainian cities. The mission also includes 135 Ukrainian monitors and some who are posted at mission bases, mission spokesman Michael Bociurkiw told a briefing in Kyiv on Nov. 28.

The mission also has members posted in eastern Ukraine, he said.

Bociurkiw said monitors had been recording a deteriorating humanitarian situation in some of the war-stricken areas in eastern Ukraine, and larger numbers of people fleeing such areas.
