MINSK - OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ivica Dacic calls for a political settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Speaking to journalists on July 21, Dacic insisted on respecting the Minsk agreements, speeding up a political settlement process, fully stopping firing, respecting a ceasefire, and working out conditions with which both Kyiv and Donbas would agree.

Dacic went on to say that he had told the heads of the Trilateral Contact Group’s working subgroups that, apart from a ceasefire, the Contact Group considers the organization of elections to be one of the key issues.

Unfortunately, no significant progress has been made on this, he said.
