Observers of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (SMM OSCE) visited the Ukrainian military checkpoint near the village of Troitske in the Luhansk region, which was shelled on Oct. 7, discovering there elements of anti-tank missiles used in the shelling.

On Oct. 7, SMM OSCE observed parts of anti-tank missiles that were launched earlier and injured Ukrainian servicemen in the village that is under Kyiv’s control, OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug told a press conference in Kyiv on Oct. 8.

SMM is concerned over the fact of shelling, Hug said. Members of the mission were at the scene, anti-tank missiles had been launched there, he said. The fact of shelling, the fact that such missiles were fired constitutes a violation in itself, he said, adding that SMM OSCE is concerned about the fact that such weaponry is still used.
