A group of members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, with which contact has been lost in the Donetsk region, consists of four people: an Estonian, a Swiss, a Turk and a Dane.
“The OSCE Mission representatives were captured near the border
between the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Contact with them was lost
yesterday at around 6 o’clock in the evening. We are doing all we can,
using local contacts. The Ukrainian government and regional authorities
have been informed about this situation,” a Mission representative told
Interfax-Ukraine.
The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine lost contact with one of its groups working in the Donetsk region.
The team was on a routine patrol east of Donetsk when contact with it
was lost and efforts to restore it have so far failed, the OSCE said in
a statement.
