You're reading: OSCE monitors cannot confirm arms withdrawal by Russian-separatist forces

DONETSK - The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) said it has registered the withdrawal of several tanks and some arms by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic but could not confirm the withdrawal of military equipment.

What happened in reality is that several tanks and some share of arms were withdrawn but they were not withdrawn to a sufficient distance, so the mission cannot say that arms were withdrawn completely or confirm or check that these arms were completely withdrawn, deputy head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug told reporters.
