The chairperson-in-office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, on May 3 "condemned violations of the ceasefire along the line of contact in eastern Ukraine during the last few days," the OSCE said.

Dacic “expressed in particular serious concern over the use of proscribed heavy weapons as well as the increased fighting in and around Donetsk and Shyrokyne,” the OSCE said in a statement.

He once again reiterated the call, supported in Belgrade last week by the ministerial OSCE Troika, to all sides to fully and unconditionally respect the ceasefire, end all hostilities and implement all provisions from the Minsk agreements, including the withdrawal of heavy weapons,” the organization said.

“At this moment, it is essential for the political process to gain momentum, and I call all sides to invest all possible efforts towards that end,” the statement quoted Dacic as saying.

The ministerial OSCE Troika – Dacic and the German and Swiss foreign ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Didier Burkhalter, – met in Belgrade on Tuesday and discussed various aspects of the Ukraine issue, including a plan to set up specialized working subgroups as divisions of the Contact Group on Ukraine to draw up roadmaps for implementing various provisions of the Minsk agreements.
