You're reading: OSCE/ODIHR mission set to deploy observers at Donbas polling stations

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission hopes its observers will watch Ukraine's early parliament election at designated polling stations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Mission head Tana de Zulueta said they had a plan to deploy long-term observers aiming at the maximum coverage of the Ukrainian territory.

But the election will be held under extremely complicated circumstances and the mission will try to deploy observers to only those places where the election is being arranged.

De Zulueta noted the mission had been warned it would be impossible to monitor the election at some polling stations.
