You're reading: OSCE’s Estonian observer held near Donetsk

Observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), including one Estonian, were held near Donetsk on Monday evening, the Estonian Foreign Ministry told Interfax on Tuesday.

“The OSCE is investigating the circumstances. The developments are
being followed by Estonian diplomats at the OSCE, the Estonian Embassy
in Kyiv and the country’s Foreign Ministry, who maintain regular contact
with OSCE representatives,” the Estonian Foreign Ministry said.

“The OSCE observers should be released immediately and must not be
inhibited in doing their job,” Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet
said.
