A land plot of 1.77 hectares in the Mezhyhirya Tract, which was given to former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to service his house and build other facilities, has been returned to state ownership.

“During the prosecutor’s check gross violation of Ukrainian law by Vyshgorod District Adminsitration during the management and sale of the land plot were revealed, as only the Cabinet of Ministers had the excusive right to do this,” reads a report of Prosecutor General’s Office issued on Oct. 30.

Vyshgorod District Court upheld arguments of the Prosecutor General’s Office and declared invalid a resolution of the district administration and the sale and purchase agreement for the land plot. The court canceled the state registration of the land plot and returned it to state ownership.
