You're reading: Over 200 Ukrainian soldiers sent to put out fire outside Pavlohrad

Over 200 officers of the Internal Troops of Ukraine's Interior Ministry have been sent to fight forest fires outside Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, where a number of chemical enterprises of Dnipropetrovsk are located.

This was done at the request of Pavlohrad’s mayor, as the forces of the Emergencies Ministry and local garrison of internal troops were unable to contain the fire in Pavlohrad’s forest areas, the press service of the Interior Ministry troops reported on Thursday. The Interior Ministry’s division will arrive at the scene within an hour, the press service said.

The press service of the State Forestry Committee of Ukraine said that at 1350 on Thursday a large crown fire was detected in the forest outside Pavlohrad, which is controlled by the State Forestry Committee.

Representatives of the State Forestry Committee and the Emergencies Ministry have left for the scene.
