Foreign citizens travelling the Black Sea on yachts enter Crimean ports, though the Ukrainian government does not approve of this, the press office of the regional department of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) border service told Interfax on July 29.

“The touristic season continues in Crimea and Sevastopol, including for citizens of foreign states. A total of 31 foreign touristic yachts, including 11 from the United States and seven from the UK, visited Crimean ports in June and July,” the press office said.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk ordered on July 2 the fining of vessels entering Crimean ports, the press office said. “The fines do not scare foreign sea tourists, who probably do not plan to visit Ukraine,” the press office said.
