You're reading: Over 50,000 people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions flee to other parts of Ukraine

The Interdepartmental Coordination Staff has already helped more than 50,435 Ukrainian citizens leave the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and has provided them with accommodation in other parts of the country.

These people include 18,218 children, as well as 5,874 elderly
persons and people with disabilities, a spokesman for the State
Emergency Situations Service has said.

“The majority of these citizens are currently staying in Kyiv, as
well as the Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk
regions,” the spokesman said.
