The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has approved at first reading a bill on government guarantees for the implementation of court decisions aimed at bringing the Ukrainian national legislation into line with the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

A total of 246 MPs out of the 362 registered in the parliament’s session hall on Friday voted for the document at first reading.
