You're reading: Passenger bus near Volnovakha shelled from north-north-eastern direction

The roadblock in Volnovakha, where 12 civilians were killed while travelling in a bus, was attacked by a rocket launcher from a north-north-eastern direction, an OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) report.

“The investigation included comprehensive crater analysis of five specific blast craters, including a crater located 10 meters from the side of the passenger bus. In the special monitoring mission’s assessment all craters examined were caused by rockets fired from a north-north-eastern direction,” reads the OSCE SMM report.

This indicates that the attacked originated from separatist controlled territory.
