You're reading: Pentagon continues providing ‘non-lethal aid’ to Ukrainian Armed Forces

Washington - The U.S. Department of Defense continues providing "non-lethal aid" to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Pentagon Press Secretary, Rear Admiral John Kirby, has said.

He said at a press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 25 the Pentagon “continues to evaluate all Ukrainian requests for military aid and assistance, but right now, the focus remains on nonlethal [aid].”

As reported, the U.S. government allocated more than $118 million to equip and train Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen to help them better monitor and protect their border.

“Non-lethal aid” includes the provision of body armor, helmets, vehicles, night and thermal vision devices, heavy engineering equipment, advanced radios, patrol boats, rations, tents, counter-mortar radars, uniforms, first aid equipment and supplies, and other related items.
