The main investigative department of the prosecutor general's office (PGO) of Ukraine has put former head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Serhiy Arbuzov on the wanted list.

According to the PGO’s press service, a corresponding decree has been
sent to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine for further implementation.

The PGO noted that its main investigative department had earlier
started a pre-trial investigation into abuse of power by former
high-ranking NBU officials when creating the “Banking TV” channel.

“The former NBU head was informed of being suspected according to
Part 5 of Article 191 (acquisition, embezzlement and obtaining property
through abuse of power) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspected
involvement in illegal activities of other officials of the bank is
being investigated as well,” the PGO said.

The pre-trial investigation of the proceeding is still ongoing.
However, PGO did not name the other officials under investigation.

As reported earlier, the “Banking TV” channel was created when Arbuzov was head of the NBU.
