The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs has received 597 reports about events related to the snap parliament election on Oct. 26, 2014, the ministry's press service reported.

“Of them, bribery of voters was reported in 51 cases. Also recorded were 68 facts of the dissemination of campaign materials, 33 cases of damaged ballots, 22 cases of misinforming, and 20 reports about planting a mine,” the press service sai

Police in Kharkiv found an RGD-42 hand grenade with the safety pin out in the basement of school No. 103 (110 Traktorobudivnykiv Avenue), where polling stations Nos. 631458-631461 of constituency No.170 are located. The grenade and the safety pin were confiscated.

“A man carrying an AKS-74U assault rifle with two magazines and 30 bullets was detained in the same school,” the source said.

Police officers also registered at least three cases of misconduct by members of election commissions.

“For example, the secretary of a district election commission in the village of Kamianohirka in Vinnytsia region dropped several ballot papers in the ballot box at once. The head of district election commission No. 217 in Kyiv (32-g Heroiv Dnipra Street, Obolon district) allowed two unknown persons in the commission’s server room,” the report said.

Four deaths at polling places were registered during the parliament election on Oct. 26, 2014.
