A student of one of Kyiv's universities has been beaten up and sprayed with green antiseptic on Independence Square, where an indefinite campaign of supporters of the European integration of Ukraine is taking place.
The protesters took the student for a provocateur, the Shevchenkivsky district branch of Kyiv police told reporters.
After the incident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, the student called the 102 police line and reported the incident.
The young man explained to the police that he had a conflict with unknown persons, which after a verbal exchange turned into a fight, the police said.
At the same time, the student refused to write a police statement.
