You're reading: Police: Two bodies found on plane crash site in Volyn region

Experts have found two charred bodies on the site of an aircraft crash in the village of Promin, Lutsk district, Volyn region.

“During the examination of the crash site, experts found the remains of two charred bodies. The remains of foreign tobacco products were also found at the scene,” the press service of the Interior Ministry’s department for the Lviv Railways reported.

Criminal proceedings under part 3 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code (violation of air traffic rules, which caused loss of life) were launched.

Earlier reports said a plane crashed on the territory of the village of Promin in the early morning of March 26, killing the pilot. No casualties among the villagers were reported. A roof of a house, and a fence were damaged.

According to preliminary reports, the plane was carrying contraband cigarette production from Belarus to Ukraine.
