You're reading: Poll: Batkivschyna, UDAR, Communist Party’s electoral support grows in April

Ukrainians want to see five political parties in the Verkhovna Rada - the Party of Regions, Batkivschyna, UDAR, Svoboda and the Communist Party, according to a survey conducted by the Razumkov Center in April 2013. 

According to the poll, if the parliamentary elections were held soon, 22.1% of respondents would vote for the Party of Regions, 18.4% for Batkivschyna, 15.5% for UDAR, 9.3% for Svoboda, and 6.9% for the Communist Party.

However, the sociological service noted that the number of respondents ready to vote for Batkivschyna, UDAR and the Communist Party had significantly increased compared with March 2013.

As reported, according to a poll conducted by the Razumkov Center in March 2013, 21.3% of respondents were ready to vote for the Party of Regions, 14.3% for Batkivschyna, 12.7% for UDAR, 10.2% for Svoboda, and 5.3% for the Communist Party.

The survey was conducted from April 12 to April 16 in all regions in Ukraine. A total of 2,010 people were interviewed. The poll’s margin of error does not exceed 2.3%.

As reported, the Party of Regions collected 30% of the vote in the parliamentary elections in October 2012, whereas Batkivschyna took 25.54%, Vitali Klitschko’s UDAR 13.96%, the Communist Party 13.18%, and Svoboda 10.44%.
