You're reading: Poll: Most Ukrainians are worried about growth of prices

Ukrainians are most worried about growing prices of food, communal services and least of all about cooperation with NATO, EU and inter-church problems, according to the results of a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

Large numbers of those polled were concerned over the growth of prices for products (58%), communal services (54%), lost of job (34%), the late payment of wages and pensions (32%), loss of health (30%), a worsening of the economic crisis (27%), the growth of corruption (27%), increasing crime (20%) while 19% were afraid for the futures of relatives and friends.

At the same time, few Ukrainians are worried about the cooperation of Ukraine with NATO (1%), inter-church problems (2%), territorial claims from neighboring countries (3%) and increased cooperation with European Union (3%).

The poll was held on Feb. 9-19, where 2,031 people older eighteen years were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and Crimea.
