You're reading: Poll: Six parties to enter Ukrainian parliament

Ukrainians are ready to support the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, the People's Front, the Radical Party of Ukraine, the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Union and the Opposition Bloc in snap parliamentary elections, according to a survey conducted by the Social Monitoring Center and the Oleksandr Yaremenko Institute for Social Studies.

As many as 47.4 percent of respondents said that they would definitely participate in the elections, and 33.9% said they would most likely go to the polls. The percentage of those undecided was about 15 percent.

Among respondents who will go to the polls and already know who to vote for, 27.2 percent are planning to support the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, 13.9 percent the People’s Front, 12.5 percent Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party, 8.2 percent Batkivschyna, 8.2 percent the Opposition Bloc, and 7.2 percent the Samopomich Party.

Close to the 5 percent election threshold are Svoboda (4.9 percent) and Strong Ukraine (4.2 percent). The Civil Position Party enlisted the support of 3.6 percent of respondents, and 3.3 percent are ready to vote for the Communist Party of Ukraine.

The survey was conducted on October 17-22 in all regions of Ukraine (in Donetsk and Luhansk regions the survey was conducted on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities) and in Kyiv. A total of 2,108 respondents were interviewed. The poll’s margin of error is 1.31-2.18 percent.
