You're reading: Poll: Tymoshenko’s rating highest, Yushchenko’s lowest

Ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Front for Change party Arseniy Yatseniuk, leader of the UDAR party Vitaliy Klitschko and President Viktor Yanukovych are politicians who draw the strongest support from citizens in Ukraine, according to the Razumkov center pollster.

Tymoshenko is fully supported by 14.3% of respondents polled, 22.1% of those questioned support some of her decisions and 56.7% do not support her at all.

Figures for Yatseniuk are, respectively, 11.9%, 34.7% ad 44.2%, Klitschko – 10.2%, 31.8% and 41.5% and Yanukovych – 10%, 30% and 54.6%.

Compared to May 2011, the share of respondents who fully support Tymoshenko increased from 11.9% to 14.3% and those who fully support Yatseniuk from 8.6% to 11.9%.

Over the same period, the percentage of those who do not support Tymoshenko dropped from 60.1% to 56.7%, Klitschko – from 47.5% to 41.5%.

The share of Yanukovych opponents increased from 48.1% to 54.6%.

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov’s performance is fully supported by 5.1% of those polled and 27.5% said they back some of his decisions, while 61.8% do not support him at all.

Deputy Prime Minister and Social Policy Minister Sergiy Tigipko’s figures are, respectively, 5.8%, 25.2% and 61.6% and Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn’s 3.4%, 23.6% and 64.1%.

Ex-president Viktor Yushchenko (who was in office in 2005-2010) has the lowest rating. Only 1.5% of respondents support him, 9.3% support some of his decisions and 80.4% do not support him at all.

The opinion poll was conducted between Sept. 29 and Oct. 4, 2011. Overall, 2,009 respondents aged over 18 were polled in all regions of Ukraine, in Kyiv and in Crimea.
