You're reading: Poroshenko appoints former NSDC Secretary Volodymyr Gorbulin to the post of his Advisor

Volodymyr Gorbulin, who had been the first Secretary since the establishment of the National Defense and Security Council, was appointed to the post of Advisor to the President of Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko met with Volodymyr Gorbulin noting his authority in the sphere of national security, the official website of the President infoms on June 26.

“In perspective, on the basis of the Institute of Strategic Studies in the structure of the NSDC, we will restore the Institute of National Security,” Petro Poroshenko noted.

The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine currently requires a clear strategy and efficient decisions in the security sphere.

“The security topic became the first priority in the context of international security, combat capability of the army and military-industrial complex,” Petro Poroshenko stressed.

In his turn, Volodymyr Gorbulin expressed gratitude to the President for his offer.

“I will do everything for our native Ukraine to live in peace and will be solving all the issues related to the national security at the high level,” Volodymyr Gorbulin promised.
