You're reading: Poroshenko approves composition of delegation for 69th UN General Assembly session

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has approved the composition of the Ukrainian delegation that will attend the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.

A respective order was posted on the Web site of the head of state on Sept. 22.

 

The delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, and
it will also include Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN Yuriy
Serheyev, Acting Director of the Department of International
Organizations of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Andriy Beshta, Deputy
Director of the Department and Head of the UN Section at the Department
of International Organizations of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Yuriy
Vitrenko, Director of the Department of International Law at the Foreign
Ministry Larysa Herasko, Deputy Director of the International Security
Department at the Foreign Ministry Ihor Kyzym, Deputy Foreign Minister
Serhiy Kyslytsia, and Director of the Department of Policy and
Communications at the Foreign Ministry Oleksiy Makeyev.

In addition, the delegation will include Deputy Head of Ukraine’s
Presidential Administration Valeriy Chaly and Deputy Head of the Foreign
Policy Department and Head of the Unit of Strategic Initiatives and
Communications at the Main Department of Foreign Policy and European
Integration at Ukraine’s Presidential Administration Oksana Shuliar.

The order allows the head of the delegation to attract advisers,
experts and technical staff to support the work of the delegation.

In addition, directives of the Ukrainian delegation are approved for the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was instructed to ensure the financing
of costs associated with the participation of the delegation in the UN
General Assembly session.
