Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko hopes that the parliament will back the bill on the abolition of right to bail for people who committed grave crimes and corrupt officials.

“The head of state has called for considering the bill on the abolition of a monetary bail for those who committed grave crimes and were involved in corruption to prevent the criminals from being released on bail. The head of state noted that he counts on the support of the parliamentary coalition in this matter,” the president’s press service reported the results of Poroshenko’s working meeting with the heads of factions of the parliamentary coalition on April 3.

The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Hroisman and Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
