You're reading: Poroshenko asks Croatian prime minister to send experts with experience in overcoming consequences of aggression to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has met with Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic in Riga and discussed the issues of ensuring Ukraine's security.

“The President noted that Croatia had a unique experience in overcoming consequences of aggression, particularly with regards to the issue of forced refugees, and [the President] addressed [Croatian PM] with the request to send Croatian experts to help Ukraine with this issue,” reads the statement by Poroshenko’s press service posted on May 22.

The parties also discussed Croatia’s experience of European integration.

Croatian PM spoke for granting visa-free regime with the EU to Ukraine and noted that his compatriots could use the same right back in the middle of the 90s.
