Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has asked the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to increase the number of monitors in the Special Monitoring Mission working in Ukraine to 1,500 people.

Meeting with permanent representatives of the OSCE countries on Oct. 7, Poroshenko urged them to intensify the Special Monitoring Mission’s efforts and increase the number of monitors to 1,500 people, reasoning that this number, provided that at least 29 drones are used to control the areas in southeastern Ukraine, should make this monitoring efficient and impartial.
