Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko believes a coalition agreement should be signed and a new government should begin to be formed this week.

“I hope the first session of the newly elected Verkhovna Rada should take place this week. A coalition agreement should not only be initialed, but also signed this week. And I expect the parliamentary factions to make their proposals on the formation of the government this week, too. We have no reason to waste time,” Poroshenko told a press conference that he was giving together with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite in Kyiv on Monday, Nov. 24.

The president said he is convinced that the future government should be pro-European and professional.
