Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine requires assistance from a peacekeeping mission under UN auspices.

“If we want to stop the aggressor, we need support from a peacekeeping mission under UN auspices,” he said at a meeting with a delegation of former heads of state belonging to the council of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
