Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has confirmed Ukraine's readiness to sign the full text of the Association Agreement with the EU as soon as possible.

“From the first moment of my presidency, I am ready to sign it…. I think we will sign it on [June] 27,” he said at a meeting with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite in Kyiv on Saturday, June 7.

According to the president, Ukraine is ready to sign the economic part of the agreement, and its signing depends only on the EU.

In turn, Grybauskaite noted that Lithuania will always support Ukraine on its path towards joining the European Union. She expressed confidence that Poroshenko will stick to his promises.

“Ukraine will turn out to be the way you will create it together with all Ukrainian people… if you continue to stick to your promises, we will support such a country,” Grybauskaite said.
