You're reading: Poroshenko hopes parliamentary coalition to be established immediately after elections

ODESA - President of Ukraine said he hopes that a parliamentary majority to be formed within next few days after the parliamentary elections to take place on Oct. 26.

“On Monday-Tuesday, we’ll establish a new coalition, pro-European, anti-corruption, without liars and populists,” the head of state said during a conversation with the local activists in Odesa on Oct. 23.

Poroshenko added that he is sure that the democratic forces would enjoy a constitutional majority in the parliament and this majority could change Constitution through decentralization of the power in Ukraine.

Being asked by a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine how is it possible to establish coalition sin such a short term, the president said that he says about a coalition agreement, which now is being prepared.
