Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he hopes that Verkhovna Rada in two weeks will adopt in the first reading his draft on constitutional amendments on decentralization, which he submitted to the parliament this week.

“I hope that in two weeks Verkhovna Rada will dare to vote for the implementation of these constitutional amendments, the Constitutional Court in turn will approve these amendments, and in autumn we will get revolutionary amendments to the Constitution on the distribution of power in the regions,” the head of state said in an interview with Ukraine’s TV channel on July 3 evening.
